After suffering a concussion on Sunday and missing practice all this week, the Carolina Panthers on Saturday officially ruled out QB Cam Newton for Monday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
RB Jonathan Stewart (hamstring) and LT Michael Oher (concussion), among others, will also miss Carolina’s Week 5 game.
Derek Anderson will start in Newton’s place for a disappointing 1-3 Panthers team that already trails the NFC South-leading Atlanta Falcons by two games.
