In the last few weeks, Alexa Bliss has embraced her role as a heel in the women’s division on Smackdown Live. Despite Becky Lynch not being able to wrestle at No Mercy, Bliss will still get her women’s title shot next month. In a recent interview with the Idaho Free Press, she discussed her emotions ahead of the biggest match of her WWE career.
“I’m definitely ready for that match. I’ve gone to the performance center and trained a little bit more in the ring. I’ve been watching tape and studying her. I’ve seen everything she can do, but she hasn’t seen everything I can do. She may have paved the way for me, but I’m going to take the title and become the evolution of the new era.”
This will be Bliss’s first title shot of her career with the WWE on both the main roster and NXT. It could be a huge step for her that could lead to much grander things with the company. However, this will also be Lynch’s first defense of the championship and it’s hard to envision that she will drop it now.
Lynch is one of the WWE’s biggest women superstars that was a part of the four horsewomen in the NXT. This is her first championship with the company and it could be a lengthy reign. All in all, it should make for an intriguing title match next month.
