Andre Iguodala Heaps High Praise On JaVale McGee

JaVale McGee has a bad rap. He’s more famous for his frequent appearances on Shaqtin’ A Fool than he is for his actual skills. When he signed for the Golden State Warriors, it was a chance at redemption for McGee, to prove his worth and fit in with a talented squad.

While he may still have his doubters, his teammate Andre Iguodala is definitely not among them. He heaped praise on McGee’s work ethic and skill since joining the team:

Iguodala on JaVale’s value: “Talk to some different people, GMs, front office people. He’s so much better than a lot of these guys who got paid this past year. Like, so much better.”

Iguodala and McGee played together for the Denver Nuggets in the 2012-13 season, and it seems like McGee’s work ethic has really improved and matured since then.

The Warriors have the most stacked roster in the league right now, so breaking in might be tough for McGee. But if he can, he’ll be surrounded by talent that should make him shine by proxy.
