One name has become a hot topic of discussion in trade rumors around the league has been Atlanta Hawks All-Star forward Paul Millsap. Atlanta is hoping to move on from Millsap given that he’s a pending free agent that will likely ask for a new deal that is out of the price range that they are willing to pay. With that in mind, there is now another team that is interested in possibly acquiring the veteran big man.
The Philadelphia 76ers would be quite an interesting landing spot for Millsap given that the team is log jammed in the frontcourt. If the Hawks are willing to take on either Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor, something could be in the works. Otherwise, these talks won’t progress into anything serious.
Millsap is in the midst of another All-Star campaign currently averaging 17.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. In the last three games, the 31-year-old is averaging 21.7 ppg and 9.7 rebounds while recording one 30-point game and one double-double. As the trade deadline draws nearer, this is something to watch.
