While the New Orleans Pelicans have started their season 0-2, Anthony Davis has looked like the best player in the league.
After dropping 50 in the opener, he followed up with 45 points and 17 rebounds in the Pelican’s home opener against the Golden State Warriors. In two games, he’s tallied 95 points. In doing so, he’s become only the second player in NBA history to score more than 90 points in the first two games. The other player to do it? Michael Jordan.

Davis should be happy with his stats, but he isn’t. His team lost both games, and Davis is a team player. He’s mad about both losses, which only makes him even better. Surpassing a record that Jordan set and still being mad about how your team did is the sign of a true superstar.
