A few hours prior to the No Mercy pay-per-view event on Sunday night, it was announced that Becky Lynch would be pulled from her Smackdown Live Women’s title match against Alexa Bliss. Lynch is reportedly dealing with an injury. In light of that, she has given an update on her situation.
Thank you all for the thoughts. I promise I’ll do everything I can to get back ASAP and defend my title… I’m watching closely tonight pic.twitter.com/SWT8QLK9r0

This was a huge blow to the event as Lynch was set to defend her championship for the first time. Instead, Bliss will have to wait to get her title shot next month. It’s a terrible situation for the WWE all the way through.
That said, details of the extent Lynch’s injury should be made in the coming days. She had been able to remain relatively healthy with the WWE up to this point. Hopefully, this isn’t something that keeps her out for an extended period of time and prevents her from defending her title.
