On Wednesday night, the LA Clippers took on the Toronto Raptors. The game featured one of the most bizarre plays in recent memory.
In the second quarter, Jamal Crawford lost a shoe. Blake Griffin picked the shoe up and attempted to throw it to the sideline so no one would trip on it. Jamal Crawford was looking to pass the ball to Chris Paul, but Cory Joseph was all over him and he couldn’t connect. So he passed the ball to Griffin instead. Griffin had to quickly throw the shoe in order to catch the ball. When he did, he accidentally pegged Joseph in the face.
Before the season, Griffin talked about how he’d spent the summer working on some new moves. Nobody would have guessed that one of those moves was a shoe to the face.
