In less than a month, Brock Lesnar will take the ring as one of the 30 participants for the Royal Rumble. This leaves a handful of on-air shows left before the pay-per-view event. According to Wrestling Inc., Lesnar next appearance is apparently locked in.
Local advertising now lists Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman for the January 16th WWE RAW from the Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas. Regarding Lesnar, Bill Goldberg and the build for the Royal Rumble, Goldberg will be on next Monday’s RAW from Tampa and the go-home RAW from Cleveland on January 23rd. As of now, Lesnar is only being advertised for the January 16th RAW from Arkansas. Unless plans change, it looks like Goldberg and Lesnar won’t meet again until the 30-man Royal Rumble main event in San Antonio next month.
This will come a week after Goldberg is scheduled to make his appearance. The 49-year-old was last on the program on the first episode of Raw following his surprising win against Lesnar at Survivor Series. Since then, Lesnar hasn’t made an in-person appearance.
All of this is planned methodically to set up even more anticipation for the pay-per-view event. It’s expected that the winner of the event will be determined by what transpires between Lesnar and Goldberg. All of this then will lead up to a mega match at WrestleMania 33.
