On Saturday, the Los Angeles Clippers got worried when Chris Paul suffered a thumb injury during practice. Paul is a vital part of the offense, and losing him to a practice session just days before the start of the season would have been devastating.
Paul skipped practice on Sunday and also sat out Monday night’s pre-season match up against the Utah Jazz. It turns out that was all simply precautionary. Paul played limited minutes last night against the Sacramento Kings, racking up eight points, eight assists, four rebounds and three steals.
Doc Rivers also told the media that Paul should be good to go for the Clippers October 27th season opener in Portland.
