Conor McGregor is one of the biggest superstars in the world of sports. He has made a name for himself over the last couple of years with both his mouth and his ability in the octagon. This has also made him a possibility for the WWE. In light of that, the UFC champion told Fox Sports that the company has reached out to him.
“I can go out and conquer the boxing scene as well. That’s a very serious thought. That’s a very serious conversation that’s happening. I’ve got those (professional) wrestling guys trying to contact me as well. I’ve got Hollywood trying to contact me as well. I’ve got so many options.”
This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given that Triple H has continued to express interest in bringing him in. There has been nothing short of critical comments pushed out by McGregor toward the WWE, but that hasn’t diminished the possibility. Both sides appear to be willing to do what’s best for business and if the money is right this will eventually happen.
It’s something that may occur down the road possibly at WrestleMania 33, where Ronda Rousey could also be featured. If the WWE really wants to make it, they have the financial means to get that done regardless of the asking price. It may be just a matter of time before this come to fruition.
