DeMarcus Cousins is a physical player, and he picks up a lot of fouls. Last night was no different when the Kings took on the Timberwolves.
With just 37.5 seconds left to play, and the Kings up by 4, Boogie picked up a foul for moving in the restricted area. It was his 6th of the night, and he fouled out of the game. Understandably, Boogie wasn’t happy. His reaction was a bit over the top though.
Cousins got up, started yelling and threw his mouth piece into the stands. He then entered the crowd and walked up the stairs to retrieve his mouthpiece before heading to the locker room.

Boogie was lucky to escape without picking up a technical foul. Throwing the mouth piece is a technical, and Steph Curry got fined $25,000 for doing it during the Finals. Entering the stands is also a technical, a rule put in place in 2004 after the Malice in the Palace incident between the Pacers and the Pistons.
Though the incident didn’t have any impact on the game, the league will likely review it and issue a punishment.
