Denver Nuggets Lose Third Player To Injury In 2 Weeks

In the course of 10 games, the Denver Nuggets have gone from being an NBA franchise to being a hospital for injured giants. In the last week they’ve lost two of their top scorers in Will Barton and Wilson Chandler. Things are looking just as bad for their defense now with the latest update on Gary Harris’ injury.

On Saturday, Harris left the game against the Pistons after suffering an injury to his foot, and missed the game against the Blazers the next day. He’d already missed three games due to a training camp groin injury. Now, after getting a medical evaluation, it seems coach Mike Malone will be without his best defender for at least 4 weeks.

With Barton and now Harris missing, the Nuggets are in a bad spot. They’ll have to rely solely on Danilo Gallinari for their wing scoring, as Jamal Murray and Jameer Nelson have already proved themselves to be very poor options this season. The Nuggets recently waived Jarnell Stokes after he missed games due to a foot injury, so the Nuggets may be looking to make a signing soon to relieve their injury woes.
