Gerald Green’s one year contract with the Boston Celtics this year was something of a homecoming. The Celtics drafted him back in 2005 and he played his first two seasons in the league in Boston.
The former Slam Dunk champion is excited to be back to where things began for him. To show his excitement he had his barber give him something special.

It reportedly took an hour and a half to put in. It seems to have worked out though, given that the Celtics won their opener and Green had solid numbers off the bench. The 6-foot-7 swingman put in 15 minutes for nine points, five rebounds and two assists. The energy he brought off the bench was valuable, and should help Green see an important role as a rotational player this year.
