Two weeks ago, Goldberg made his return to the WWE after nearly a 13-year absence. He was able to put together a strong promo in his first appearance that has fans pumped up about his comeback. In a recent interview with Heated Conversations with Booker T, Goldberg discussed his emotions after that monumental moment.
A twelve year layoff for any athlete is a mental struggle, but not only that it’s also a physical struggle, but I have more selfish reasons to coming back than just how I look in the ring 12 years out of it, so I was able to get my wife and son of a taste of what I used to do, so for me that is a pretty special thing.
What his return did more than anything was have many older generation wrestling fans intriguing by the WWE again. Goldberg is still a fan favorite that could have the ability to draw massive numbers for pay-per-view events. This is exactly what the company hopes to do next month at Survivor Series against Brock Lesnar.
If all goes well in terms of the quality of match and feedback from the WWE universe, it could open up way to another one at a pay-per-view event. There has been speculation that he could face Lesnar against or compete in a triple-threat match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33. All of this just underlines the importance of next month’s match.
