Grizzlies Just Made A HUGE Lineup Shakeup

The Memphis Grizzlies over the last few seasons have been a constant in the playoff picture in the daunting Western Conference. However, the Grizzlies underwent a few changes over the offseason including the hiring of a new head coach in David Fizdale. Prior to the start of his first season with the team, Fizdale has already put in place a huge change.

In his seven seasons with the Grizzlies, Randolph has been the starting power forward with the franchise averaging 17.2 points and 10.5 rebounds including a pair of All-Star game selections. He has been a major reason for Memphis making six straight playoff appearances. However, he’s entering his 16th season has shown some decline in his play last year with his points and rebounds dropping.

The decision to go with the third-year forward could be extremely beneficial for the Grizzlies. Green has shown the ability to stretch floor beyond the 3-point line and was productive in expanded role last season averaging 7.4 points and 4.8 rebounds in 18.4 minutes while making 15 starts in 78 games played. This is a move based purely on the betterment of the team.
