Gary Payton is considered to be one of the greatest point guards of all time. He spent 13 years in Seattle where he holds the franchise record for points, assists, and steals. He ended his NBA career as a player with the Miami Heat, where he also won a championship.
Payton was a great all around player, but is perhaps best known for his outstanding defense. He is the only point guard to have ever won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award. It is certainly interesting to hear why Payton picks John Stockton as his number one hardest to defend players of all time. He still gives Jordan his due though and mentions him as the second hardest to cover.
