Heading into this season, James Harden underwent a position change becoming the primary ball handler of new Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni as the point guard. Harden has flat-out excelled at an extremely high level in the role. During this stretch, he has also made NBA history with his offensive production.

Harden has quickly proven that he’s an even more dangerous offensive player as the primary playmaker. Although he’s currently leading the league with 12.7 assists per game, he’s also committing 5.3 turnovers per game. This includes six or more turnovers in four of the first seven games played.
The Rockets are going to continue to see this number remain near where they’re at as Harden has been given the green light to orchestrate the Rockets’ offense. That said, it could lead to him breaking even more mind-boggling records along the way. Simply put, Harden could be in store for a historic campaign.
