Jerry Jones Weighs In On Romo Playing Sunday Against Browns

Dallas Cowboys rookie quarterback Dak Prescott will again start for the team in Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns, as Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones says Tony Romo is not ready to play.

Romo returned to practice last week on a limited basis and is working to get himself back on the field after suffering a compression fracture in his back during the team’s third preseason game.

“Tony isn’t ready to play,” Jones said. “That is subject to Jason Garrett making the decision. But as far as the health issue is concerned of Tony, there is no need to push it that fast.”

Prescott has led the Cowboys to six straight victories, including Sunday night’s 29–23 overtime victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
