Joakim Noah Isn’t Happy One Bit About Opening Night Loss To Cavs

The New York Knicks heading into the season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers had plenty of hype surrounding the team. However, the defending champions gave them a beat down on their home floor led by LeBron James posting a triple-double. Following the game, offseason acquisition Joakim Noah perfectly summed up the embarrassing loss.

The Cavaliers simply had their way with the Knicks with their big three of James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love combining for 71 points. Love recording a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds while Irving notched a game-high 29 points including going 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Cleveland took command in the game in the third quarter using a 20-4 run to take a 74-53 lead that they never looked back from.

Although it’s just one game, the Cavaliers appear to be in mid-season form while the Knicks are still figuring things out. New York now knows what it will take in order to beat the reigning champions. However, if they can’t figure things out it will be an extremely long season for them.
