The Charlotte Hornets are off to a strong start to the season currently sitting in the third spot in the Eastern Conference. Much of this has been due to the play of point guard Kemba Walker. He is also coming off a historic performance against the Toronto Raptors.

Although the Hornets came up short, Walker was on fire throughout the contest that included tying a career-high seven 3-pointers on 12 attempts. The 26-year-old has been on an offensive tear through the first nine games this season notching at least 20 points in all but one contest putting him at a career-high 25.3 points. He is also shooting career highs from the field (47.4), and 3-point range (47.0).
More importantly, Walker has established a stronger case as being one of the top point guards in the Eastern Conference. If he keeps up this level of production while his team is winning, it could earn him his first All-Star Game selection. This could very well be the beginning to Walker’s breakout season.
