The Orlando Magic are off to a slow start to the season having lost 11 out of their first 18 games. With the team going through a funk, head coach Frank Vogel decided to shake things up with Nikola Vucevic coming off the bench for the first time this season. Following the game, Vucevic was quite vocal about the decision to put him in a reserve role.

Vucevic still put up productive numbers scoring 17 points with 16 rebounds in 30 minutes played, but the result remained the same. The 26-year-old clearly doesn’t believe his role shouldn’t change because of the team’s struggles. He’s one of the most productive big men in the league averaging a double-double for the fourth time in the last five years.
However, Vogel is in a bit of a bind with the crowded frontcourt with the likes of Serge Ibaka and Bismack Biyombo also on the roster. It’s a difficult task to try and sort that out without one player getting the short end of the stick. It’s going to be something to watch closely moving forward with a trade being a possibility.
