Following this week’s edition of Smackdown Live, general manager Daniel Bryan called out Raw stating that both Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley were running the show like cowards. It has quickly created a huge ruckus via social media. This also didn’t take long for Foley to fire back via Facebook at Bryan.
What this has done more than anything else is created a stronger rivalry between the two programs. Bryan on several occasions has taken shots at the competing show including calling out the WWE Universal title for its lack of creativity in the name. Raw has yet to take a jab in any similar fashion at Smackdown since the brand split in July.
More importantly, this should further setup the three matches between the programs at Survivor Series next month. This will pit the rosters of each show against each other with the five-on-five bout between male superstars, five-on-five between female superstars, and five tag teams vs. five tag teams. It will be very interesting to see what else will be planned for the event.
