Since the brand split in July, veteran superstar Chris Jericho has been heavily featured in the programming. He has been a crowd pleaser with now infamous “List of Jericho.” In light of that, Raw general manager had some high praise for the 45-year-old.
How did Chris Jericho get “you just made the list” over in three weeks? How can the “best friend” thing possibly be working? How can calling someone a “stupid idiot” be funny every week? Somehow, Chris Jericho pulls it off. It’s the gift of Jericho. Drink it in, man!
The fact that he’s still able to get comedic relief for his PG skit shows how skilled he is at connecting with the crowd. Jericho has been able to do that throughout his career effectively playing both as the heel and babyface. It’s a rare quality that few are able to sustain for long periods of time.
Jericho has put forward a Hall of Fame worthy career that seen him accomplish plenty being a WWE-record nine-time Intercontinental champion. He was also the company’s first undisputed champion. However, what he should most proud of is his longevity to stay a prominent figure in the WWE since his arrival nearly 20 years ago.
