NBA Annual GM Survey Has Named An Obvious Choice For Next Season’s Champion

Prior to each season, the NBA conducts its annual survey with the general managers around the league on various topics. This ranges from who will win the Rookie of the Year award to who is the best point guard in the league. When asked which team will win the NBA title this upcoming season, it was a clear-cut choice.

Which team will win the 2017 NBA Finals?
1. Golden State – 69.0%
2. Cleveland – 31.0%
Last year: Cleveland – 53.6%

It’s not one bit surprising to see the Warriors get the top nod given the addition of Kevin Durant in the offseason. Golden State is coming off a record-breaking regular season and has added arguably the second-best player in the league behind LeBron James. It has put an extremely high level of expectations of the franchise beyond just winning one NBA championship.

The Warriors are the overwhelming favorite in the West, but their greatest challenge will once again come against the Cleveland Cavaliers. James is still the best player on the planet and showed that he can have his way with Golden State especially after his performance in NBA Finals in each of the last two years. All in all, this is building toward a third straight rematch between these two powerhouse teams.
