With the season just a week away, it’s time for the annual front office survey. General managers from around the league responded to 48 questions about the best teams, players, coaches, fans, off season moves and other categories of interest. GMs were not allowed to vote for their own teams or staff.
For the second year in a row, Russell Westbrook won “most athletic player,” and he won it by a landslide. This year he took a massive 62.1% of the vote, with second place LeBron James getting just 17.2%. Last year Westbrook edged out LeBron with a 13% lead, so it’s clear that the league sees Westbrook as the undisputed number one most athletic player.
Westbrook will get a chance to show that off even more this year after signing a 3 year contract extension with the Thunder worth $85 million.
