Jae Crowder is known for his hustle and his tough defense. Both make him a valuable asset to the Celtics roster, but both almost caused a disaster on Monday night during the Celtics game against the Timberwolves.
A loose ball headed out of bounds sent Crowder into overdrive as he dove to keep it in bounds. Unfortunately, the ball was headed straight at a man sitting courside holding an infant child.
The man on the sideline quickly threw his arms up to protect the child, and Crowder managed to catch his balance and redirect his path away from the child, so no harm was done. But had either failed to react, a collision between a 6’6″ diving athlete and an infant would have been horrible.
