The Denver Nuggets are struggling with injuries. Wilson Chandler suffered a hamstring injury that has made him a day to day decision after averaging 20.7 points and 6.7 rebounds in the first 3 games. Will Barton, averaging 18 points and five rebounds per game, sprained his ankle.
But Head Coach Michael Malone thinks Barton will be back sooner rather than later. He told reporters at the Denver Post that he expects Barton to be back in 7 – 10 days.
Barton is coming off his best ever season in the league, averaging 14.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, while also finishing fourth in Sixth Man of the Year voting. His return will be a big boost to the Nuggets offense.
