The New Orleans Pelicans heading into this season were an injury-ridden team. It has put them at a tremendous disadvantage currently being one of three winless teams in the league holding a 0-6 record. Things look to be getting much bleaker with the news that another prominent player on the roster is sidelined with an injury.
The Pelicans just announced that Lance Stephenson has a groin injury that will require surgery and sideline him indefinitely.

Although Stephenson made it on the roster as a training camp invitee, he has proven to provide a huge impact on the court. Prior to his injury, he was averaging 9.7 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in 27.0 minutes per game. This could likely trust Buddy Hield into the starting lineup.
