In the last few months, there has been a growing speculation that Brock Lesnar could take on Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 33. It had only grown stronger with various reports indicating that notion. In the recent edition of his podcast, Ric Flair has quickly shot down that possibility.
I don’t see that. I see Shane vs. Hunter at WrestleMania, that’s what I see, that would really draw money considering the unknown animosity, which nobody seems to understand or know, but clearly there is some.
That is an intriguing match that Flair has proposed as there doesn’t appear to be an eye-to-eye levelness between the two men. It’s something that the WWE could easily build into the storyline if they so desire. However, McMahon suffered a few scary bumps in the ring in his last couple of matches that have some real cause for concern.
As for the Lesnar, it’s looking extremely likely that his opponent for the event will be Goldberg. Whatever does transpire at the Royal Rumble looks like it will lead to a match to finally settle the score at WrestleMania 33. If this were to pan out in some other fashion, there are still so many different possibilities that the WWE can choose from for Lesnar’s opponent.
