In the coming weeks, it’s expected that Goldberg will take on Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series in late November. It will mark the end of a 12-year absence from the company. During a recent Facebook Q&A session, Seth Rollins addressed the possibility of wrestling Goldberg.
“Am I gonna go after Goldberg? To be honest with you, I don’t think there’s going to be anything of Goldberg left after Brock Lesnar rips him apart.”
This isn’t the first time that Rollins has made some stirring comments toward Goldberg. He had stated a few weeks ago during an appearance on ESPN’s First Take that the 49-year-old was too old because “his day has come and gone.” There is clearly no ill will from Rollins but more of a matter of fact to his stance due to his age.
That said, Goldberg will have the opportunity to show that he has something left in the tank against Lesnar next month. There’s really no indication of what he can do at this point having last wrestled 12 years ago and only made special appearances at independent circuits over the last couple of years. Ultimately, it’s all on Goldberg prove otherwise in the ring.
