Since joining the WWE a decade ago, he has seen himself progressively rise to stardom in the business. This came after he rose to prominence in the professional wrestling circuit overseas. In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Sheamus revealed who has been his biggest influence in the WWE.
“Triple H was a big help to me. William Regal came on the road with me, when I first came up from FCW. And of course, Fit Finlay used to assist me on a daily basis as well. He’s not just a mentor but also a great friend.”
The fact that he named a couple of former superstars with overseas roots isn’t surprising at all. The selection of Triple H does turn some heads as it means that he was already helping other superstars. It was still a few years prior becoming a part of the authority figures.
Sheamus has had a very successful WWE career that including be a four-time world champion, including the WWE World Heavyweight Championship three times and WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship once. He has also won the United States title and was just the second wrestler to win have won matches 2010 King of the Ring tournament, the 2012 Royal Rumble. With Sheamus in the midst of his career, he could very well add to this.
