With Ronda Rousey recently stating that her next UFC fight will be one of her last, the focus on shifted toward her future beyond it. One possibility that has arisen has been becoming more involved with the WWE. In a recent interview with TMZ, Stephanie McMahon discussed the likelihood of Rousey making another appearance with the company.
“I sure hope so. I gotta get her back. She put me in that arm bar. I’m certainly going to try.”
McMahon certainly sounds like she is hopeful that the WWE can work something out with Rousey. Despite her absence from the octagon in over a year, she is still a wildly popular athlete that could draw a massive crowd at a pay-per-view event for the WWE. Her last appearance at WrestleMania 31 went extremely well with all around rave reviews.
On top of that, Rousey has voiced her desire to return to the WWE at some point in time. If her fight in December does go well, there’s no reason to believe that she won’t seriously entertaining appearing at WrestleMania 33 next April in Orlando, Florida. There should be more clarity to the situation in the coming months.
