Green has become the backbone of the team that provides their spark and energy on both ends of the court. He is the key ingredient that gets the Warriors going, especially when the team is going through minor turmoil. Green has shown he has what it takes to push them over the top.
Green appears to be headed toward his second straight All-Star selection as he’s averaging 10.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. He is averaging career-highs in assists and steals per game and assists per turnover ratio. This has also placed him among league leaders in several statistical categories being third in steals, seventh in assists, seventh in assists per turnover ratio (3.16). Beyond these impressive numbers, Green has proven to be the heart and soul of the Warriors.
