Just last season, Brock Osweiler looked like somewhat of a hero in Denver. He stepped in for Peyton Manning and played fairly well, starting seven games before heading back to the bench.
In those seven games, Osweiler went 5-2 with a passer rating of 87.8, averaging 260 yards per game. Had it not been for him, one could argue that the Broncos may not have been in the position they were in 2015.
Fast-forward one year later and Osweiler is an enemy in Denver. Not because he didn’t re-sign with the Broncos and opted for more money in Houston, but due to the fact that he’s no longer in Denver.
As a result, the Broncos are prepared to light him up when he returns to Denver on Monday night.
“There’s no ill will toward Brock. I am happy he got paid,” linebacker Brandon Marshall said, via ABC 7. “But it’s competition. We want to kill him.”
