No matter how good a player is, they all eventually lose in the match up against time. But that doesn’t mean they don’t go down without a fight.
Tom Brady’s been fighting time incredibly well. At 39, he’s playing some of the best football of his career. He’s got 15 years of elite NFL experience to inform the mental aspects of his game. And somehow, he’s managed to not only maintain his physical form, but to actually improve it. in an interview with Boston radio station WEEI on Monday, Brady revealed that he’s actually faster now than he was when he entered the league.
“I’ve timed my 40-yard dash from when I was in college to what it is now, and it’s about two or three tenths faster now.”
Pretty impressive that he’s literally not slowing down with age. By the time he’s done, it’ll be impossible to remember him as anything other than one of the greatest to ever play the game.
