The Philadelphia 76ers find themselves with a surplus of talented young big men on their team. Things are seeming kind of crowded with Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, and Jahlil Okafor. For the moment they are able to play two center lineups which helps spread playing time. However, when number one pick Ben Simmons returns to the team, they won’t be able to play two centers simultaneously as much.
One of the 76ers big men is looking to take matters into his own hands. Nerlens Noel has apparently asked the organization to trade him. Noel has yet to play a game this season. He underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in October and is still recovering. The former 2013 first round draft pick has spent much of his time in Philadelphia dealing with injuries.
There have already been rumors that the 76ers were looking to trade Okafor but they may change their plans now that Noel has made his desire to leave known. The 76ers have a lot of young talent to put together a team for the furture.
