The NFL is a tough league. In addition to being the physically toughest sport out there, football players have to deal with constant worries about job security and some brutally mean fans. When a player loses favor with his fanbase, it can be tough to watch.
That’s the case of kicker Blair Walsh, who was just released by the Vikings. Walsh had a great college career as a Georgia Bulldog, and looked great during his rookie year in the NFL. Since then, he’s become a popular scapegoat among Vikings fans due to his apparent lack of ability to kick a field goal shorter than 40 yards.
After being cut, Viking fans took to twitter to mock Walsh and celebrate his release.

These are terribly mean, but pretty funny. But Vikings fans probably won’t be laughing when they realize that there are virtually no kickers available on the market right now that would be better than Walsh.
