Gregg Popovich is considered one of the greatest NBA coaches of all time. His Spurs teams have won 5 NBA Championships. He himself has won the NBA Coach of the Year Award 3 separate times. It is safe to say that he has cemented his legacy for years to come.
One thing Popovich is known for is his close relationship and long use of his players. Specifically, he had Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobli for the entirety of their NBA careers. Surprisingly however, none of them are his favorite player ever. That title belongs to guard George Hill. Check out this story from the night Hill was traded:
Popovich says Spurs waited until the final min to make draft night trade for Kawhi, partly because George Hill was 1 of his fav players ever

Poor Popovic. I think we can assume that he got over it though as Kawhi Leonard has been playing like a beast this year.
