This is a huge step in his recovery as he’s able to up the workload on his arm in hopes of making a return early next year. Balor suffered the injury against Seth Rollins in the WWE Universal title match when Rollins powerbombed him into the barricade. He was somehow able to power through the injury and win the bout. He would surrender the title the following night on Raw after he found out the extent of the ailment.
Balor is expected to make a full recovery from the injury and be able to compete at WrestleMania 33 on April 8, 2017 in Orlando, FL. It’s likely that he will find himself back in the thick of the Universal title picture given that he’s the first holder of the belt. All in all, the fact that Balor has shed the sling is an encouraging sign.
