The WWE is just under a month away from their third pay-per-view event for Raw since the brand split. In light of that, the company has already taken a few steps to shaping up the card. On this week’s edition of Raw, Roman Reigns defeated Kevin Owens for a shot at the Universal title at the event in Pittsburgh, PA next month, according to Wrestling Inc..
The main event of the December 18th WWE “Roadblock: End of the Line” pay-per-view will see WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens defend his title against WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns.
At this moment, it will only be Owens’ title on the line for the main event match at the pay-per-view. Reigns is currently the United States champion after a couple of successful title defenses against Rusev. This result should not come as much of a surprise given that there were various reports that suggested the WWE was going to book this match for the event.
The WWE has made it quite clear that they are still trying to push Reigns as one of the top faces in the company. There has been much push back in the WWE Universe that isn’t particularly fond of the three-time world champion. More details will emerge in the coming weeks leading up to the event.
