With the new pay-per-view schedule in place for the WWE, it put each show on a constant swing with one event per month. This has pushed each program to put together intriguing matches to headline them. According to Wrestling Inc., Raw has already put in the books a huge title match.
As noted, WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens vs. WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns has been announced by the PPG Paints Arena for the December 18th “WWE Roadblock: End of The Line” pay-per-view from Pittsburgh. It should be noted that their announcement does not say the match will be for the United States Title, just the Universal Title.
Although this is still nearly two months away, this should be an entertaining match between two of the most popular superstars that Raw has to offer. It’s not surprising to see this get set up as Reigns had stated following Hell in a Cell that he could potentially challenge Owens in the near future. This was followed up by the current Universal champion interfering in Chris Jericho’s match against Reigns.
There is sure to be plenty of build up heading into this match with this feud. Another interesting angle is Seth Rollins’ involvement. He had come to aid Reigns after Owens got involved in his match against Jericho on Monday. This is something certainly to keep an eye on moving forward.
