Every year, the WWE has always put a concerted effort in pulling out all the stops for WrestleMania. It has been their grandest stage for over the last three decades. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this year’s won’t be any different as the WWE is attempting to land a current UFC Star to make an appearance at the event in April.
There is talk about trying to work a deal for a UFC star. Obviously Ronda Rousey would be choice No. 1. Conor McGregor might be but he’s got heat with a lot of the talent, but it’s not ruled out. Paige VanZant, who was originally booked for something at SummerSlam before she pulled out to do a fight on the Vancouver show, is another time being talked about.
Rousey has been long linked to the WWE ever since she made an appearance at WrestleMania 31, where she received massive great feedback. She has also expressed on numerous occasions a desire to work with the company again. With her returning to the octagon next month, it could open up way for her to come back.
As for McGregor, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the WWE would look into bringing him aboard. Although he has repeatedly bashed them, Vince McMahon has always operated on the premise of what’s best for business. This most definitely would mean working something out with McGregor would fall in that path.
