WWE May Already Have Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania 33 Opponent Lined Up

In the last several weeks, the rumor mill has been hot around Brock Lesnar. He has become the subject of conversation as the primary opponent for Goldberg if he is to return. According to Wrestling Inc., the Beast Incarnate is expected to face a familiar face

There are several reasons for doing the match at Survivor Series. WWE wants to do the match to help promote the WWE 2K17 video game and Survivor Series is the best option for that plan. Also, future opponents for Lesnar are said to be locked in and apparently one of those opponents is Shane McMahon, perhaps for WrestleMania 33. WWE officials were not willing to change Lesnar’s WrestleMania plans for Goldberg.

It had been long rumored that Lesnar would be taking on McMahon at a pay-per-view in the near future. The two already have a story line in place with Lesnar giving him the F-5 at Summerslam after he came to Randy Orton’s defense. The 39-year-old can also be viewed as an anti-authority figure because he runs by his own agenda under Paul Heyman.

The most intriguing part of this all is that Lesnar could get his rematch against Goldberg after a 12-year span possibly at Survivor Series next month. These two are still polarizing figures in the business that would surely grab plenty of buzz. That said, it will be interesting to see what develops over the next few months.
